Design maintainable PHP applications
Strengthen object-oriented design with interfaces, composition, dependency injection, namespaces, Composer autoloading, exceptions, and clear boundaries between application concerns. Apply these ideas to Laravel's service container, middleware, routing, request validation, controllers, policies, and domain workflows instead of concentrating business rules in oversized controllers.
Build data-backed Laravel features
Model relational data in MySQL with appropriate keys, constraints, relationships, transactions, and migrations. Use Eloquent deliberately, inspect generated queries, prevent avoidable N+1 access, and evaluate indexes with representative query plans. Build server-rendered Blade interfaces with semantic HTML, responsive CSS, JavaScript enhancements, and server-side validation.
Deliver reliable APIs and background work
Design versionable JSON APIs with request validation, resource representations, authentication, authorization, pagination, and consistent errors. Use queues, events, notifications, caching, and scheduled work where they fit the problem, with retries and idempotency considered for operations that may run more than once.
Test, secure, and prepare for release
