Learn Secure Laravel Applications and Production Readiness
Review input, output, and access
Validate user-controlled input, use parameterized database access, escape rendered output, and enforce authorization for each protected action. Check mass assignment, ownership, and file-upload validation rather than relying on hidden fields or interface visibility.
Keep configuration and logs safe
Keep secrets out of source control and browser code. Use environment-specific configuration and least-privilege credentials. Logs should help explain operational behavior without recording passwords, tokens, or unnecessary personal information.
Prepare a release that can be recovered
Document required environment variables, migrations, storage needs, health checks, backups, and a rollback approach. Confirm dependency compatibility and run tests before release. A backup is useful only when restoration has been tested.
Practice task
Review a sample Laravel feature for authorization gaps, unsafe output, file handling, and secret exposure. Produce a concise release checklist with a recovery step.
