Learn PHP Full-Stack Developer Capstone: Design, Test, and Release
Start with a bounded product brief
Choose a fictional workflow such as a resource tracker, booking planner, or inventory catalogue. Define user roles, core records, permitted actions, and acceptance criteria before building screens. Keep sample data synthetic.
Build a vertical slice
Connect an accessible Blade interface to a validated Laravel workflow, MySQL persistence, and a documented API where useful. Add policies, transactions, and automated tests for both successful and denied behavior. Keep queries and background work observable.
Present evidence and limitations
Document setup, architecture, schema decisions, test commands, configuration requirements, and known limitations. Demonstrate the feature with synthetic data and explain how it could be monitored and recovered after a release. A portfolio project shows practice, not a guarantee of employment or production suitability.
Practice task
Write a one-page project brief, implement one complete feature, provide automated tests, and prepare a short technical walkthrough with a release checklist.
